Sinclair Research was formed in England in 1973.
Sinclair released their first home computer in 1980 with the ZX80 which was followed in 1981 by the ZX81 and the ZX Spectrum in 1982. Sinclair released different flavours of the ZX Spectrum over the period of a few years which included Spectrum 16K & 48K, Spectrum+ and the Spectrum 128.
Sinclair was sold to Amstrad in 1985
